RAMALLAH - 3 July 2017: The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has called on the UN Security Council to live up to its legal and moral responsibilities to force Israel to stop its settlement expansion on Palestinian lands, particularly al Quds.
The UNSC should pressure Israel to abide by UN resolution No. 2334 in this regard, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Monday.
The Israeli government no longer pays attention to international reactions to its settlement plots, the statement noted.
It cited an Israeli announcement about an unprecedented settlement expansion plot in occupied East Jerusalem.
In addition to that, Israel is also planning to build independent residential units for Jews in the heart of Arab neighborhoods, the statement said
