CAIRO - 9 February 2020: In a press release carried by Sputnik, Russian airline Aeroflot announced on Tuesday that it will increase its flights to Egypt and it will also resume its flights to Kazakhistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and India.

Russia has resumed international flights with Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and the Maldives, a government order published on Sep.9 showed.

The government said it had authorized three flights a week to Cairo, as well as two flights a week to Dubai and to the Maldives's Velana International Airport.

Russia halted all regular and charter international flights with other countries at the end of March in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak worldwide, allowing only repatriation trips.

The decision was reviewed in August and the country resumed flights to Great Britain, Tanzania, Turkey and Switzerland in accordance with a number of criteria determined by the Russian anti-coronavirus crisis center.
