CAIRO – 3 July 2017: Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi laid wreath at Hungarian memorial on Monday, during his two-day visit for talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on means of boosting bilateral cooperation.
The Egyptian president is also scheduled to meet with his Hungarian counterpart János Áder, said Peter Kveck, the Hungarian ambassador in Cairo, in statements to MENA on Saturday.
Sisi and Prime Minister Orbán will also inaugurate an Egyptian-Hungarian business forum, Kveck added. He made it clear that Sisi's visit to Budapest aims at enhancing bilateral cooperation at all levels.
Economy-wise, cooperation between Cairo and Budapest is progressing just fine, the diplomat said, adding that both countries are also probing chances to work together in the fields of agriculture, water treatment, railways and tourism.
Kveck was pleased with what he called correct steps taken by Egypt to achieve economic reform.
The new investment law endorsed by Egypt is an encouraging move on the right track, he said, believing it will help lure more Hungarian investments, particularly to the Suez Canal Corridor region.
