Palestinian President starts African-European tour

RAMALLAH - 2 July 2017: President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday embarks on an African-European tour taking him to Jordan, France,Tunisia and Egypt and will also visit Ethiopia to participate in African Union summit in Addis Ababa, Abbas's adviser Majdi Khaldi told the Voice of Palestine radio.

Alkhaldi said that Abbas is expected to deliver a speech to UN summit and hold meetings with African leaders.

Abbas will fly to Paris to discuss with French President Emmanuel Macron the latest development regarding the Palestinian issue and international efforts for achieving peace process. Alkhaldi added

The Palestinian official pointed out that the president will also pay a visit to Tunisia at an invitation from its president Beji Caid Essebsi then he will head to Cairo.
