The center indicated that it contacted the Ministry of Supply which dismissed as groundless such reports and asserted that no citizen has been removed from the lists.
Only repeated names, those with wrong ID numbers and dead persons were removed from the lists, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, the ministry said 568,000 new cards were issued for needy families.
The ministry urged media outlets to be accurate in their news coverage, urging them to contact the departments concerned ahead of publishing any information.
