CAIRO – 23 January 2020: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi arrived Saturday to inaugurate the Al-Fayrouz Fish Farming project in Port Said.
The project is considered the largest of its kind in the Middle East region, as it is founded on 15,000 feddans. It contributes to the development of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, and Sinai Peninsula through establishing industrial and urban complexes.
The project provides 10,000 job opportunities in different professions and specialties in this field.
It aims to bridge the gap between production and consumption; achieve self-sufficiency; reduce imports, increase exports to Arab and European markets and provide hard currency to support the national economy.
President Sisi is scheduled to inaugurate a number of marble and granite production projects in Ras Sidr and Ain Sokhna, in addition to dairy and animal production in Nubaria and Fayoum via video conference Saturday.
