CAIRO – 21 January 2021: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi urged ensuring that the new facilities of the Interior Ministry be regarded as a comprehensive centers or complexes where the largest possible number of facilities are provided to citizens.

The president’s remarks came in a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik and Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki on Thursday, the Presidency said in a statement.

Sisi voiced the importance of choosing the locations of these new facilities in a way that achieves security standards and ease the citizen’s movement in integration with new roads and axes nationwide, the statement said.

During the meeting, the interior minister reviewed with the president the ministry’s strategy to redistribute a number of its facilities outside populated areas nationwide, while securing and tightening control on them, to facilitate the speedy intervention and deployment of the police forces.

Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed and Chairman of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Ehab Al-Far attended the meeting.

Also, First Assistant Minister of Interior for Financial Affairs Naseer Khalil, Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Forces Reda Sweilam, Head of the Training Branch of the Armed Forces Operations Authority Staff Ahmed Mahdy, and Amr Abdel Aziz working in the Financial Affairs Sector of the Ministry of Interior.
