New application proposed to issue licenses electronically in new cities

CAIRO – 19 January 2021: Minister of Housing Assem el-Gazzar announced that there is an electronic application proposed to manage licensing issuance in new cities, aiming to save time and effort in serving the citizens and investors.

Reports and statistics needed to support decision-making will be easily extracted through this new electronic application. It will also increase the effectiveness and diversity of communication channels to issue licenses electronically.

This comes as part of the digital transformation strategy that is adopted by the government, and largely depends on linking information between geographical databases, spatial data unit projects and smart applications.

The strategy further aims to provide high quality services to the citizens and investors, develop methods to support decision-making and contribute to the state’s strategy to achieve financial inclusion.
