CAIRO – 19 January 2021: Minister of Defense Mohamed Zaki received on Monday Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff Konstantinos Floros and accompanying delegation as they are holding a visit to Egypt that is taking place for several days.
The meeting tackled a number of matters of mutual interest in light of the current regional and international developments, and their reflection on security and stability of the Middle East. The talks also consisted of ways of reinforcing cooperation and military ties between both states.
Minister Zaki valued strategic relations between the Egyptian and Greek armed forces asserting the importance of concerting efforts and cooperation between the armies of both countries.
Egyptian Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid also held a meeting with Floros to discuss joint exercises aimed at combating joint challenges.
The meeting was attended by senior commanders of the Egyptian Armed Forces, and the Greek military attaché in Cairo.
