CAIRO - 2 July 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi is due to start on Sunday an official visit to Hungary to attend an extraordinary summit of the Visegrad Group.

Also known as Visegrad Four, the gathering, which groups Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic, is together the fifth economy in Europe and the 12th in the world.

The president is scheduled to have meetings during the visit with top officials in Hungary, including President Janos Ader, Prime Minister Viktor Orban and the parliament's speaker Laszlo Kover.

The planned talks will mull ways to continue cooperation between Egypt and Hungary in all fields as well as steps taken to implement agreements reached during mutual visits over the past two years to promote bilateral relations.

Regional and international issues of mutual concern will figure high during the meetings.

While there, Sisi will also attend a meeting of the Egypt-Hungary businessmen forum with the presence of representatives of companies and the private sector from both countries to probe ways to promote trade and economic cooperation and review available investment opportunities in Egypt.

The summit shows keenness of both sides to promote ties and discuss other issues of mutual concern.

The talks will tackle Egypt's role in the Middle East, counter-terrorism efforts, illegal immigration and energy security
