Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inaugurates the first exhibition for vehicle conversion to run on compressed natural gas – Presidency
CAIRO – 4 January 2020: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday morning inaugurated Egypt's first exhibition for vehicle conversion to run on compressed natural gas (CNG), spokesman for the presidency Bassam Radi said.
The initiative which aims at converting cars to run on CNG will be launched in this exhibition namely Go Green.
The exhibition is hosted under the auspices of Sisi and in cooperation with governmental bodies as well international and local companies specialized in this field, Radi added.
“The exhibition aims to present various financing programs within the initiative, raise more awareness regarding the economic and environmental benefits resulting from using natural gas,” the Presidency said in a statement.
It also aims to “present cooperation between production companies and the government sector supporting the technological expertise transfer along the research and development programs in this field, and present the steps taken to establish the infrastructure needed to support the cars running on natural gas”.
“The exhibition also answers all questions regarding the latest findings related to equipping cars to run on natural gas.”
