Egypt to witness very cold weather on New Year’s Eve

CAIRO – 31 December 2020: Egypt will witness very cold weather at night, recording lows of 11°C in Cairo, said Mahmoud Shaheen, the head of Weather Forecast department at Egypt’s Meteorological Authority (EMA).

Shaheen further advised people who will celebrate New Year’s Eve to wear heavy winter clothes as the weather will be extremely cold throughout the night. Saint Catherine will is expected to record 3°C.

Weather will be warm in Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate winds.
