Egypt's Command of People's Defense Forces organizes training for civil society

CAIRO – 27 December 2020: The Command of the People's Defense Forces affiliated to the Egyptian Armed Forces held training for the civil society in the governorates of New Valley, Gharbia, and Qalyoubeya on mechanisms to face crises and disasters.

Officials at the ministries of youth, health, social solidarity, and education also took part in the training delivery.

The event is aimed at promoting ways of coordination between the people and state institutions in time of crises, and raising awareness on protective measures. The Egyptian Armed Forces also reiterated readiness to provide help whenever needed.

Within the training, school students performed military parades and athletic exercises reflecting their qualifications and discipline. The training included checking the status of vehicles in the governorate, shelter camps, and quarantine field hospitals.

On the sidelines, a number of martyrs' families were honored.
