MOSCOW - 1 July 2017:More than 200 flights were delayed and canceled in Moscow on Friday over the heavy rainfall that hit the Russian capital.
Moscow was struck by from 25 to 50 percent of monthly rainfall on Friday, according to the meteorological service.
A total of 104 flights were delayed and 13 others were canceled in the Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports, Russian media outlets reported.
In Vnukovo airport, 93 flights were delayed and one was canceled.
Heavy rainfall, thunderstorm, hail and strong wind up to 12.5 miles per hour will continue in Moscow till July 1, Sputnik news agency said.
The foul weather has already left at least one person dead and several injured in Moscow and resulted in mass power cuts in the Russian capital as well as in the Moscow Region.
