CAIRO – 25 November 2020: Heavy rains showered Cairo and other governorates Wednesday as a wave of unstable weather hit the country, and is expected to last until Friday.
The country has witnessed thunderstorm in some areas of the northern coasts including: Alexandria, Matrouh, Sallum, Rashid, Damietta, Port Said, Arish and Rafah.
Between medium and light rains were witnessed in Lower Egypt, especially in Kafr el-Sheikh, Beheira, Dakahlia, Gharbia, Menoufia, and Northern Upper Egypt, including Fayoum, Beni Suef and Minya.
This wave is accompanied with drop in temperature degrees and active winds at northern coasts.
Giza governorate deployed equipped vehicles to suck accumulated rainwater from main streets and squares ahead of the showers.
