CAIRO – 18 November 2020: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stressed during Wednesday Cabinet meeting on the importance of adhering to all anti-COVID-19 precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

In his remarks, he ensured that all concerned bodies should apply all these measures strictly at all work and production sites amid the rise in infection rates witnessed these days.

Madbouly further warned that the second wave of the virus, which has already hit several countries worldwide is “spreading on a wider scale with higher risk compared to the first one, which requires concerted efforts to avoid slipping into this dangerous curve.”

He directed to tighten campaigns on places that violate the precautionary measures, and impose penalties stipulated in the law and in the cabinet’s decisions in this regard.

Egypt heightened regulations dealing with Coronavirus, where it made facemasks mandatory in public places, and anyone who does not abide by the decision will be subject to a fine of L.E. 4,000.
