CAIRO – 25 October 2020: The construction of the second phase of Rawdet Al Sayeda neighborhood – an alternative housing project – will start immediately at a cost worth LE500 million and will conclude after 18 months.
The neighborhood offers fully furnished residential units to the former dwellers of a slum area called Tal Al Aqareb in Cairo governorate.
The second phase consists of 15 five-storey buildings encompassing a total of 700 residential units. That is in addition to a non-residential area spanning over 10.5 feddans and housing 50 commercial units.
Facilities like a police department, a nursery, football fields, and sport courts will be introduced. Furthermore, the design is set to match the Fatimide and Khedivian surroundings of the neighborhood like that of first phase.
The first phase stretches over 6.5 feddans and was constructed at a cost worth LE330 million. It consists of 816 residential units, and 198 commercial units.
