CAIRO – 14 October 2020: Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid attended a stage of Radaa-2020 Drills (Deterrence-2020 Drills) on Wednesday. The exercises are carried out by units of the Central Military Zone in cooperation with main branches of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
The drills are taking place for a few days within the annual plan of combat exercises held for the Egyptian Armed Forces units and formations, and carried out in tandem with celebrating the 47th anniversary of the 6th of October War Victory.

The drills started with preparing for the battle, organizing the forces, and moving to the battlefield. Later comes attacking the enemy's frontlines in order to accomplish the mission. The drills have been completed using Multiple Integrated Laser (MILES).
The phase attended by the chief of staff and other high-ranking commanders showed the high combat skills of the elements taking part in the drills.
Farid delivered the greetings of Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, and General Commander and Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the 6th of October War Victory. The chief of staff said that such war is a proof of the geniality and strong willpower of the Egyptian warrior who does not know the impossible.
Farid discussed with commanders and officers involved in the drills the methods they use while accomplishing missions. To ensure their readiness in face of quick and sharp changes while the battle is ongoing, the commander also asked for their responses on how they will act if they face particular emergent tactical situations.
