Egyptian, Spanish forces conduct naval training in Mediterranean

CAIRO – 10 September 2020: The Egyptian and Spanish naval forces conducted a naval training within the northern fleet in the Mediterranean Sea.

The training witnessed the participation of the Egyptian frigate “Toshka” and the Spanish frigate “Reina Sofia.”

The training included several activities, like: air defense exercise, as well as implementing sailing formations, which have shown the ability of the marine units to take their positions with accuracy and high speed.

These exercises come within the framework of supporting the pillars of joint cooperation between the Egyptian and Spanish armed forces, which has deep experiences in these areas, as well as supporting efforts to benefit from bilateral capabilities in achieving the common interests of both sides.
