28 MB members sentenced to life over attempted murder of citizens in Fayoum

CAIRO – 3 October 2020: The Criminal Court sentenced 28 members of the terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood to life in prison over attempted murder of four citizens in Fayoum.

The defendants are accused of putting explosive materials in a motorcycle in Fayoum city, targeting four citizens. The four citizens were injured and transferred to the hospital, where they received needed treatment and then were discharged.  

The prosecution revealed that the defendants are members of the terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood. The investigative department said that a special security crackdown was launched to arrest the violators who are part of the cluster cells.
