BEIRUT, Sept 26 (MENA) - Lebanon’s prime minister-designate Mustafa Adib stepped down on Saturday from the task of forming the new government.
In an address, after a meeting with President Michel Aoun, Adib said his resignation was due to the retreat of a number of Lebanese political powers from their earlier commitments and the retreat of French President Emmanuel Macron from his promise to ease the formation of a non-partisan cabinet.
