EgyptAir receives 11th Airbus A220-300 aircraft

CAIRO – 24 September 2020: The state-owned EgyptAir company received on Wednesday the 11th Airbus A220-300 aircraft to join its air fleet.
 
 
As per a contract between EgyptAir and Airbus Group, Egypt would receive 12 airplanes of the same class, according to a statement from EgyptAir.
 
 
This model is considered a medium-range model that will serve the EgyptAir network and enhance its competitiveness due to the efficiency and economical operation of this model, as this model provides high levels of comfort on all levels through the comfortable lighting.
 
 
The new jet contains the latest innovative technology, including the best cabin in the sector and the latest generation of engines that will save 20% in fuel consumption per seat.
 
 
The A320neo has low levels of emissions, as well as its environmental benefits besides its ability to reduce noise by 50% compared to the previous generation.
 
 
The jet also has designed the spacious two-seat cabin with a capacity of 142 seats, 16 seats in Business Class and 126 seats in economy class.
