Sudan government, People’s Movement to sign final deal on Oct. 2 in Juba, 2 last Khartoum

CAIRO - 6 August 2020: The committee convened today to discuss the files of Darfur and East Sudan, a statement by Sudan’s Sovereign Council quoted Dhio as having said.

The agreement made after a year of talks hosted by South Sudan raises hopes of ending more than 17 years of war.

It offers power sharing, integration into security forces, land rights, and the return of those displaced from years of conflict.
