BENGHAZI, Aug 31 (MENA) - The Libyan army has voiced deep concern about security chaos and violations in the west of the country.
“We’re closely following up developments taking place in Tripoli,” said the General Command in a statement Monday.
“We support steps to counter terrorism and … eliminate causes of chaos that threaten the security and safety of our people and country.”
Measures are being taken to stop incursions of armed militias and mercenaries backed by foreign parties with colonial agenda in Libya, the statement said.
Hopefully, such measures would lead to the launch of a successful political process to end the suffering of citizens, it added.
