CAIRO – 29 August 2020: Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said that the total volume of investments in the higher education sector in Egypt reached L.E. 90 billion.
He added that a total number of 177 projects were implemented at governmental universities, like: adding new faculties, new lecturing halls, in addition to developing the infrastructure of the universities at a cost of L.E. 7.2 billion.
Minister Abdel Ghaffar further said that the construction of four smart universities was completed in the New Administrative Capital, that will work to develop the students’ skills through research-based learning.
There are a total of 27 governmental universities across governorates, as the state’s plan to increase that figure.
