CAIRO – 27 August 2020: Egyptian Ambassador to Liberia Ahmed el-Sayed Hilal stressed the importance of moving towards boosting bilateral relations between both countries during the coming period.
This came during a meeting held between Ambassador Hilal and Liberian Acting Foreign Minister Henry Boimah Fahnbulleh, where they discussed ways of supporting bilateral relations, especially in light of the strong historical ties.
Ambassador Hilal said that Egyptian companies are keen to be present in the Liberian market by contributing to the implementation of infrastructure projects. He also ensured the importance of boosting cultural and scientific cooperation, in addition to enhancing Egypt’s contribution to building human capabilities at the Liberian government.
For his part, the Liberian Acting Foreign Minister Fahnbulleh expressed his country's appreciation for all aspects of Egypt's support for Liberia. He further affirmed his country's aspiration to benefit from Egyptian expertise to advance the agricultural sector. Fahnbulleh also praised Egypt's initiative to provide a shipment of medical aid to Liberia to support its efforts to combat the coronavirus.
