CAIRO - 18 August 2020: The House of Representatives on Tuesday approved 11 presidential decrees on international agreements.
Among those agreements are the Customs Convention on the International Transport of Goods and the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting and three deals signed with the Emirates NBD and First Abu Dhabi Bank.
The decrees are also related to the following:
- A sub-agreement between Egypt and Canada regarding the implementation of a project to address gaps in health and reproductive rights in Egypt.
- A letter of understanding between the Egyptian government and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development regarding the provision of aid worth one million Kuwaiti dinars to contribute to supporting Egypt in it fight against COVID-19.
- A loan agreement between Egypt and the World Bank regarding a US$ 50 million emergency response project under the World Bank Group’s new Fast Track COVID-19 Facility — a global effort to help strengthen the COVID-19 response and shorten the time to recovery.
