CAIRO – 13 August 2020: After recording a debut increase in COVID-19 recovery rate on August 8, reaching 53.1 percent, Egypt’s recovery rate hits 55.1 percent, according to the Ministry of Health on Monday.

 

The Ministry of Health revealed that the rates of recovery of coronavirus at isolation hospitals jumped to 55.1 percent for the first time on Tuesday.

 

The ministry has recorded 52,678 recovered cases thus far since the outbreak of the virus.

 

The ministry announced that the total number of infections until August 9 reached 95,492 cases, including 52,678 recovered cases, and 5,009 deaths.

 

The ministry said that the World Health Organization stated that the disappearance of COVID-19 symptoms for a period of 10 days since the infection is an indication for the patient’s recovery.
