CAIRO – 22 July 2020: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli issued Wednesday decisions regarding the regulations taken to deal with the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
Madbouli’s new decisions made during a meeting of the Supreme Committee responsible for managing the Coronavirus crisis.
 
All public beaches and parks shall remain closed while cafes, restaurants, and stores shall be opened till 12:00 am during Eid Al Adha.
 
The government will also study the possibility of a gradual return of Friday prayers in cooperation with the Ministry of Religious endowments.
 
Cinemas and theaters will remain using only 25 percent of its capacity, while restaurants and cafes will use 50 percent of its capacity during Eid Al Adha.
 
Regarding Eid Al Adha prayers, the government decided it will follow the same regulations taken when holding Eid El Iftar prayers back in May.
 
Commercial stores and malls will be closed at 10:00 pm as decided before.
 
Official conferences and meetings will be permitted as long as the participants' number does not exceed 50 individuals in halls that can take not less than 100.
 
The new decisions will come into effect on July 26.
