Egypt, Sierra Leone discuss ties in water resources

CAIRO, July 21 (MENA) - Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati discussed with Sierra Leone Minister of Water Resources Philip K Lansana bilateral ties in the water resources domain.

During their meeting on Tuesday, the Sierra Leone minister underlined the need to provide support for the maintenance of water networks to reduce water loss and to establish a water resources department at the Sierra Leone university.

Abdel Aati asserted the Egyptian side's keenness on offering all aid to Sierra Leone in building its capabilities and training its cadres at the Regional Center for Training and Water Studies (RCTWS), affiliated to the Irrigation Ministry.

He also lauded the level of cooperation with Freetown that reflected the depth of ties with the African brothers.

The Sierra Leone minister concluded by expressing his appreciation of the Egyptian side's technical support for his country in all fields.
