New health insurance bill to cover all citizens;parliament

CAIRO 26 June 2017: Head of the Health Affairs Committee of the House of Parliament Mohamed Khalil el Emari asserted the committee’s keenness to let the overall health insurance draft law cover all poor and needy citizens.

In a statement on Monday, he said the committee will set a plan to discuss the bill that was prepared by the government and referred the State Council to review it.

He added the plan includes holding a number of sessions to discuss the bill with the health minister and the committee that prepared the bill, a number of former health ministers and academicians as well as labor and vocational unions’ representatives.
