Kurdistan President offers condolences to Sisi for death of Egyptian Consul in Erbil

CAIRO - 13 July 2020:  President of Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani offered his condolences to Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for the death of the Egyptian Consul in Erbil Ahmed Hares, who died of heart attack on Sunday in Egypt.

"The President expressed sympathy and grief over the passing of the late Consul General," the Kurdistan Presidency said in a statement on Sunday.

"The President also extended his prayers and condolences to the family of the late diplomat and wished them comfort and patience," the statement read.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday the death of consul, offering its condolences to his family.

The deceased was hardworking and spared no effort in serving his homeland throughout his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic missions abroad, the ministry added in a statement on Sunday.
