CAIRO, July 5 (MENA) - Naval forces succeeded Sunday in thwarting an attempt to smuggle a large amount of bhang via the country's northern coast.
The forces acted upon a tip on monitoring a suspected ship near the northern coast of Hurghada as the smugglers attempted to get rid of the drugs by throwing the large amount into the sea.
Security elements combed the area, recovered the large quantity of drugs and confiscated it, as part of their continued efforts to secure Egypt's coastal borders, pursue smugglers and face up to any attempt to undermine the country's security.
