RABAT, June 15 (MENA) - King Mohammed VI of Morocco underwent a successful heart surgery on Sunday in Rabat, Morocco World News reported on Monday.
The King was treated for a heart rhythm disorder known as “atrial flutter”, according to a statement issued by the royal cabinet.
His doctors recommended radiofrequency ablation, which took place this Sunday at the clinic of the Royal Palace in Rabat.
“The intervention was a complete success, like the previous intervention carried out on February 26, 2018 in Paris, with restoration of the normal heart rhythm,” it added.
This is the second time that the Moroccan monarch has undergone a surgery to cure his heart rate disorder.
