Sisi welcomes Libya's Haftar, Aguila Saleh in Ittahadya palace

CAIRO - 6 June 2020: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Saturday Chief Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives Aguila Saleh for a tripartite summit on developments in Libya.

It was attended by Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel, Defense Minister General Mohamad Zaki foreign minister Sameh Shoukry and Parliament speaker Ali Abdel Aal, said Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.

The meeting comes out of Egypt's keenness on achieving security and political stability in Libya, added the spokesman, pointing out that Libya is part of the Egyptian national security.
