CAIRO, May 30 (MENA) - A special committee has been formed to prepare a plan to reopen churches while adhering to all anti-coronavirus precautions, Head of the Evangelical community in Egypt Andrea Zaki said Saturday.
Zaki made the announcement during a virtual meeting of the Evangelical Confessional Council in the presence of evangelical church leaders.
The committee is expected to submit its plan for approval during the council's next meeting, Zaki added.
The move falls within the framework of a government's anticipated decision to consider the possibility of reopening places of worship nationwide after they have been shut down since late March in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.
