CAIRO – 24 June 2017: “No country has worked to undermine security and stability as much as Qatar did,” said UAE Foreign Minister Anwar Gargash in a press conference held Saturday in Dubai.

The UAE minister referred to Doha’s leakage of the 13 Arab demands submitted to Qatar as a reckless move that undermined Kuwait’s mediation attempt.

“There was no respect for the mediation and Qataris leaked the demands in a childish way,” Garagash said.

The alternative to Qatar's acceptance of Arab states' demands, he added, “is not escalation but separation.”

Gargash wrote on his official Twitter account on Friday that “the leaking will further exasperate & prolong the Qatar crisis;” stressing that “the only option to restore trust is via Qatar’s neighbors and region.”

The UAE minister also pointed out that Qatari media has been promoting terrorism, adding that Qatar has been a favorable platform for a number of terrorists.

Diplomacy is the only way to push Qatar to change its policy towards terrorism, Gargash said in the conference.
