BAGHDAD - 22 June 2017: An Iraqi military official announced Thursday that security forces killed 16 of Daesh elements including the man in charge of making explosives in Mosul.
"Military forces shot yesterday Daesh explosives leader Abu Furqan al-Mosuly during their advance in Ashefaa District in Mosul city", Al Arabeya News Channel quoted the official as saying.
Fifteen other Daesh elements who hid in houses in the district were also killed.
The source said security forces are proceeding towards Ashefaa neighborhood which is about to be liberated from Daesh soon.
John Dorian, Spokesman for US-led coalition denied calims of
striking the area where the historic Mosul mosque is located.
