RAMALLAH, May 1 (MENA) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a group of the Egyptian Armed Forces in Bir el Abed city in North Sinai governorate.
The Palestinian leader offered his condolences to the victims' families, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
Abbas asserted that the Egyptian army will remain the first line of defense against terrorism.
On Thursday, Armed Forces Spokesman Tamer el Refai said an explosive charge blast hit an armored vehicle in southern Bir al Abed City, leaving ten army personnel, dead and wounded.
