FILE – Egyptian Armed Forces carrying out sterilization works
CAIRO - 20 April 2020: The Ministry of Military Production manufactured individual sterilization booths equipped with several sprinklers that spray sterilizing materials on individuals to before entering the facilities.
This comes within the framework of the Ministry of Military Production's participation with various state agencies in confronting the new coronavirus.
The booths were also provided with a device to measure the temperature of those passing through.
It is worth noting that foursterilization booths for individuals produced by Helwan Machinery and Equipment Company (999 Military Factory) have been handed over to the House of Representatives.
The Ministry of Health announced on April 19, recording 112 new coronavirus cases, and 15 deaths.According to Health Ministry spokesman KhaledMegahed, the new cases raise Egypt’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 3144 and deaths to 239.
He added that the number of coronavirus cases whose tests turned from positive to negative increased to 1001, including 732 people who recovered from the virus.
"All positive cases are placed under quarantine at isolation hospitals," the spokesman said.
He added that 31 of those infected with coronavirus were discharged from hospitals after receiving the necessary medical care. The total number of recoveries has so far reached 732.
