Police ready to protect vital facilities in Eid

CAIRO - 22 June 2017: Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar issued directives to his security agencies to adopt decisive measures to foil any attempt to mar Eidul Fitr celebrations, a security source said.

The minister has put the final touches of Eidul Fitr security plan over the past two days, the security source said in statements to MENA on Thursday.

The minister ordered the ministry's leaderships to inspect security measures during Eidul Fitr.

The minister gave orders to intensify security measures in vital facilities, the source said.

Mobile and fixed security convoys will be spread alongside bomb disposal squads in public places and near parks and shopping malls, the source added.
