WADI EL NATRUN, Egypt, April 18 (MENA) - Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Marks Diocese on Saturday thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his greetings on the occasion of Easter.
Egypt was early alerted to the coronavirus outbreak, taking measures needed to limit its spread, the Pope said during the Easter Mass at the Church of the Transfiguration at the Monastery of Saint Pishoy in Wady el Natrun, northwest of Cairo, which was held without public audience.
He urged the Copts to stay home and spend the Easter with their families
We are all confident that God will lift these fears and troubles soon, Pope Tawadros said.
