Egypt's Environment Min. launches website for hazardous medical waste management

CAIRO, April 6 (MENA) - The Ministry of Environment said it will launch a website for its Medical and Electronic Waste Management Project (MEWM), which is funded by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Global Environment Facility (GEF).

The website is due to be launched in coordination with the Ministries of health and communication as well as the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, said Tarek el Araby, the director of MEWM project, in statements to MENA ON Monday.

The launch website on the safe disposal of the hazardous health care waste falls within the framework of the Environment Ministry's participation in the state's anti-coronavirus measures, Araby added.
