Health Min: Egypt capable of combating any viruses including novel COVID-19

LUXOR, March 8 (MENA) - Minister of Health Hala Zayed asserted that Egypt is capable of overcoming and combating any viruses including the novel coronavirus.

In statements aired on "El Nil" News TV from Luxor, Zayed said all measures that Egypt has applied to counter the new virus proved efficient after the detection of 45 cases among the crew and passengers of the Luxor tourist ship without showing any symptoms of the disease.

She also praised the awareness measures applied in Luxor, calling on citizens to head to any medical centers in case of a rise in their temperatures.

She also noted that all hotels and tourist ships in Luxor should take all precautionary measures to curb the spread of the virus.
