CAIRO - 4 March 2020: Minister of Health Hala Zayed announced the launch of the national vaccination campaign against measles and rubella free of charge for Egyptian and non-Egyptian children residing in Egypt from March 8-26.

This campaign comes within the framework of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s vision to boost public health that affects achieving sustainable development.

Adviser to the Minister of Health and the ministry’s official spokesperson Khaled Megahed said that the campaign aims to vaccinate nearly 16 million children across Egypt.

Megahed continued that more than more than 5,000 doctors will participate in the campaign. He stressed that the campaign aims to keep Egypt free from measles and rubella.
