Re-trial of Youssef Boutros Ghali postponed to April 5

CAIRO, March 1 (MENA) - North Cairo Court postponed the re-trial of former finance minister Youssef Boutros Ghali to April 5 hearing.

He was tried on charges of squandering public funds and was sentenced in absentia to serve 15 years in prison.

Prosecutors accused Youssef Boutros Ghali was accused of squandering some LE 28 million ($ 4.1 million at current exchange rates) between 2009 and 2010, when he was minister of finance.
