CAIRO - 28 February 2020: Kazakhstan's Ambassador in Cairo Arman Isagaliev has hailed initiatives launched by Al Azhar to strengthen dialogue among religions and civilizations, as well as to qualify Kazakh religious cadres.

Isagaliev made the remarks during his meeting with Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb, according to a statement released by the Kazakh Embassy in Cairo on Friday.

During the meeting, the Kazakh ambassador thanked Tayyeb for allowing the embassy to get access to the rare manuscripts of Al Farabi at Al Azhar Library, especially as the central Asian country is set to mark the 1150th anniversary of the birth of prominent scientist and philosopher Abu Nasr Farabi, the statement read.

The two sides probed the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Nursultan Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Inter-Civilizational and Inter-Confessional Dialogue and Al Azhar Center for Inter Religious Dialogue, the statement noted.
