CAIRO - 28 February 2020: Kuwait Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al Mohammad Al Sabah left for Cairo on Friday to offer Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah's condolences over the death of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak.

Earlier, the Kuwaiti foreign minister praised the role played by late former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak in liberating Kuwait from the Iraqi invasion.

Kuwait will never forget Mubarak's role in this regard, Sheikh Ahmed said Thursday as he offered condolences for Mubarak's death at the residence of the Egyptian ambassador in Kuwait City.

Commenting on the saddening news, the Kuwaiti top diplomat told MENA correspondent here Mubarak played a distinguished role at the Arab and Islamic levels.

He hailed as "special" relations with Egypt, especially that the two countries have the same visions regarding the different regional and international issues.
