Dignity of Egyptian citizens in any country red line: Manpower min.

CAIRO, Feb 23 (MENA) - Minister of Manpower Mohamed Saafan asserted that the dignity of the Egyptian citizen in any country is a red line.

Speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on Arab affairs on Sunday, Saafan said that the Ministry of Manpower set mechanisms to maintain the rights of the Egyptian workers abroad and will not allow any insult to them.

The ministry has set a minimum rate for the salary of the Egyptian workers abroad especially that in some countries foreign workers are paid low wages, Saafan said.

He asserted that the contracts between the workers and the place of work should include this minimum rate.

He necessitated the importance of raising the awareness of the Egyptian expats working in small projects abroad of their rights.
