Kuwait: Body of missing Egyptian sailor found in Gulf waters

KUWAIT CITY - 21 February 2020: The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry said it found the body of the Egyptian sailor who has drowned in the Arab Gulf waters after his boat capsized off Al Shamlan area ten days ago.

The ministry's operations room was notified that a boat carrying two Egyptian sailors capsized off Al Shamlan area. One of them was rescued and the other was missing.

The Kuwaiti marine rescue teams continued searching operations for the body of the Egyptian over nine days.

The body of the Egyptian national will be carried to Egypt after the Kuwaiti authorities finalize the needed official procedures.
